Responsibilities

  • Respond to operation and dispatch requests, using necessary tools, maps and addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner.
  • Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients; complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
  • Use appropriate communication methods, including standard radio transmission codes, to effectively respond and route patients while complying with company information security standards.
  • Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair, and use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel, fellow drivers, and the operations team.
