The ideal candidate has certification or licensure (CVT/LVT/RVT) or 3+ years of clinical experience, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with a team.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT/RVT certification or eligibility or 3+ years of experience.
• Prior experience in a veterinary clinical setting strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures.
• Experience with patient handling, restraint, and low-stress handling techniques.
• Ability to assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support.
• Competency in collecting and processing laboratory samples.
• Basic proficiency with radiography and diagnostic imaging.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate medical records.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication with team and clients.
• Compassion for animals and commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Ability to lift, restrain, and handle animals of varying sizes.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends or holidays.
• Proficiency with veterinary software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Perform and monitor anesthesia under veterinary supervision.
• Obtain and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology, etc.).
• Conduct radiographs and other diagnostic imaging as needed.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, ensuring comfort and accurate treatment.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Educate clients on pet care, treatment plans, and medication instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area.
• Support patient handling and restraint with a focus on safety and low-stress techniques.
