Job summary

CityVet Kallison Ranch is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our team. A Veterinary Technician Assistant will be considered with a minimum of 1-year experience. Compensation is based on experience and education.

A VT will support veterinarians, prep patients for surgery, obtain samples, and communicate with clients to ensure outstanding care. We value teamwork, growth, and compassionate patient focus in daily practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 18 years old at time of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Ability to properly and safely restrain animals.
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medications.
• Lift 50 lbs to waist height; frequent standing, bending, walking and lifting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians by prepping patients for surgery and handling anesthesia; take x-rays and collect lab samples.
• Monitor patients post-op and restrain animals during exams.
• Obtain samples (stool, blood, etc.) for testing and help interpret results.
• Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, or anesthesia as directed.
• Communicate with clients to relay medical information and care instructions.
• Support the Client Service Specialist team as needed.
