Mission Pet Health is seeking a friendly Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited small animal practice. This role combines front-desk duties with hands-on support for the medical team, handling phones, scheduling, client education, and basic patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and a love for animals.
• Strong communication and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Highly organized with multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

• Confident handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Experience with veterinary software is a plus; flexible schedule including some weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Direct greeting and manage a multi-line phone system.
• Coordinate care by maintaining records and appointment schedules.
• Educate clients on preventive care and hospital services.
• Provide compassionate patient care and assist medical team.
• Support veterinarians and technicians for a smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean, safe hospital environment.
• Handle financial transactions and client communications.
