Qualifications

• Weekend availability is required.
• Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks including lifting and standing.
• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting practices or willingness to learn.
• Compassionate, patient, and calm with sick or anxious animals.
• Ability to learn how to administer medications and recognize changes in an animal's condition.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, feeding, walking, bathing, and medicating of hospitalized and boarding pets.
• Monitor and document appetite, behavior, medications, and changes in a patient's condition.
• Clean and disinfect kennels, treatment areas, and hospital equipment.
• Wash laundry and restock hospital supplies.
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary assistants with animal restraint, exams, and post-operative patient care.
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
