Banfield Pet Hospital in Arlington, TN seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in delivering quality care for all pets. You help maximize clinic efficiency, educate clients, and maintain a safe hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality pet care and maximize productivity
• Provide professional, efficient service and prepare procedures not requiring vet/tech assistance
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care and hospital services
• Obtain relevant information and history from clients and maintain medical charts
• Ensure safety of pets, clients and staff by safe restraining techniques and sterile areas
• Assist with surgery as allowed by state rules and NAVTA guidelines
• Mentor other paraprofessionals in the hospital
• Other duties as assigned
