Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality pet care. You will educate clients on wellness needs and hospital services, gather medical histories, and help maintain clean, organized treatment areas and labs.

You will assist with procedures, monitor hospitalized or surgical patients, and ensure safety and efficiency in the hospital environment while mentoring junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality care for all pets.
• Educate clients on pet health, wellness plans and hospital services.
• Obtain information from clients and maintain complete medical charts.
• Assist with surgeries as applicable and monitor hospitalized or surgical pets.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization of treatment areas and labs.
• Mentor paraprofessionals and support staff as needed.
