Providence Pet Hospital is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our busy team in Las Vegas. You will support veterinarians and technicians, gather histories, take vitals, and assist with exams, diagnostics, surgeries, and inpatient care.

You will handle lab work, radiographs, medication preparation, and client education while maintaining a clean, organized hospital. Prior pet-care enthusiasm and a teamwork mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Veterinary Assistant certification is a plus but not required.
• Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but we're happy to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Help veterinarians and technicians provide exceptional patient care.
• Gather patient histories, obtain vitals, and prepare pets for appointments.
• Assist with exams, diagnostics, treatments, surgeries, and hospitalized patient care.
• Collect lab samples and prepare samples for outside laboratories.
• Prepare and dispense medications with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Take radiographs following proper safety procedures.
• Educate clients on preventive care, vaccines, and wellness plans.
• Keep exam rooms and treatment areas clean and organized.
