Job summary

Mountain Legacy Veterinary Center is seeking a Veterinary Technician to assist veterinarians with patient care, monitor hospitalized pets, prepare prescriptions, and support surgical procedures.

A moving stipend of up to $2,000 is available for this role, with benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement options, and flexible schedules. Strong teamwork and client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on weekends as required.
• Basic math and the ability to calculate medication dosages.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams and educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Obtain samples and perform in-hospital laboratory testing.
• Take radiographs following safety procedures and restrain animals as needed.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and restock supplies; support team and clients.
• Display warmth, courtesy, and professionalism with clients and patients.
