Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, surgeries, and treatments.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient visits; educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Collect samples and conduct in-house lab tests; send to external labs when needed.
• Take and develop radiographs following safety procedures.
• Handle animals safely and restrain them for exams as required.
• Administer medications, vaccines, anesthesia, and treatments per veterinarian directions.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock exam and treatment areas; keep equipment in good condition.
• Communicate care plans, client concerns, and patient status with the team.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
