Job summary

Silverthorn Animal Clinic in Spring Hill, FL is seeking a Veterinary Technician to assist veterinarians and other technicians with patient care, monitor hospitalized pets, and perform in-house lab work. This role supports clinical operations with accuracy and empathy.

You will educate clients, prepare prescriptions, assist with surgeries, monitor anesthesia, take radiographs, and help maintain a smooth clinic workflow while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on weekends as required.
• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• Basic math and the ability to calculate medication dosages.
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in practice and surgeries; provide support as needed.
• Take histories, vitals, and weights during outpatient exams; educate clients.
