Job summary

Service Corporation International’s Dignity Memorial division seeks a Transfers Driver in Fort Myers, FL to perform first-call transfers of the deceased and adhere to local laws and company policies. You will support paperwork, maintain records, and ensure vehicle readiness.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of courier/driver experience with customer interaction preferred. Flexibility for weekends and nights is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses: Current state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience: At least 1 year as courier/driver with direct customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transfers safely using company vehicles for first-call transfers of the deceased in compliance with laws and policies.
• Maintain chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification procedures.
• Interact with families courteously for home transfers while showing sensitivity to environment.
• Handle transfer of soiled garments and supplies professionally.
• Enter event information into proprietary software as per procedures.
• Transport caskets to airports, care centers or funeral homes and assist with moving them.
• Maintain and clean vehicles; fuel as needed; follow safety and expenditure guidelines.
