JWCH Institute, Inc. is seeking a Driver to support the Harm Reduction Team in Los Angeles. You will safely operate and maintain vehicles, transport staff and clients, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

The role requires a valid CA Class B license, a clean MVR, and experience with vulnerable populations. You will coordinate routes, monitor vehicle maintenance, and uphold a compassionate, trauma-informed approach while engaging with individuals experiencing homelessness.

Qualifications

• Valid California Class B Driver’s License with passenger endorsement.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of fleet operations, inventory control, or logistics.
• At least 1 year of experience with vulnerable or homeless populations.
• Clean driving record for past 3 years (MVR).
• Experience with vehicle maintenance, record-keeping, and compliance tracking.
• Ability to work outdoors and engage respectfully with encampment residents.
• Demonstrated time-management and scheduling adherence.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction practices.

Responsabilités

• Transportation and Van Operations: Safely operate agency vehicles to transport staff to and from assigned service locations.
• Ensure compliance with all state and local traffic laws, safety regulations, and agency driving policies.
• Conduct and document daily vehicle inspections, including fuel, fluids, tires, and cleanliness.
• Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to maintain vehicle readiness.
• Monitor vehicle performance and coordinate with service providers for repairs.
• Maintain records of mileage, fuel usage, maintenance logs, and service documentation.
• Coordinate fueling, cleaning, and inspection appointments for readiness.
• Ensure HIPAA and safety standards for mobile medical/outreach services.
• Logistical and Operational Support: Plan routes, schedules, and daily needs; maintain readiness of vehicles.
