Job summary

Wesley Health Centers - JWCH Institute, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant/Driver to join a multidisciplinary street medicine team in Los Angeles.

You will support clinicians, operate the mobile unit, and provide non-emergent transportation to unsheltered individuals, delivering transitional primary care and coordinating across community services. The ideal candidate has MA certification, a California driver’s license, BLS, a clean driving record, and at least two years in ambulatory settings.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program with MA certificate.
• California driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Two years’ ambulatory clinic experience and venipuncture training.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians and support mobile unit operations for street medicine.
• Coordinate non-emergent transportation and ensure patient safety during transit.
• Collect patient data, perform routine tests, and document in health records.
• Engage with community agencies to ensure continuity of care and resources.
