Job summary

Behavioral Health in Kansas City, MO seeks a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for clients and staff, upholding safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct. You will represent the organization on the road, support clients with mobility needs, and work with Behavioral Clinicians to implement ABA-informed interventions and maintain vehicle readiness.

Requirements: high school diploma, Missouri Class E (S) or CDL (S) with clean record, 2+ years driving, background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Missouri Class E license w/ S endorsement or CDL w/ S endorsement, clean driving record.
• Experience transporting individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of professional driving or transportation experience preferred.
• Drug screen and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, courteous transportation of clients and staff.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness.
• Assist clients entering/exiting vehicles; support mobility equipment.
• Follow traffic laws and transportation policies; arrive on time.
• Log mileage and incidents accurately; transport to appointments and activities.
• Report accidents or concerns; participate in meetings and trainings.
• Engage in continuous improvement and provide routing/safety feedback.
• Collaborate with program staff to coordinate transportation needs.
• Represent BHA positively in the community; advocate for passenger dignity and safety.
