Eldora Specialty Care, a 46-bed long-term care community in Eldora, IA, is hiring a Van Driver through Care Initiatives. Part-time hours with a focus on safe transport for residents to appointments and activities.

You will contribute to compassionate care, coordinate schedules, and maintain vehicle safety while building positive relationships with residents and staff. The role emphasizes reliability and flexibility, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s License with Class D – Chauffeur Endorsement.
• Not more than 2 traffic violations within the last 3 years.
• No previous driving while under the influence convictions.
• CPR and first aid certification or willingness to accomplish.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and events.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the van, including wheelchair securement.
• Follow schedules and coordinate timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
• Observe residents during transport and report concerns to nursing staff.
