Job summary

Northampton Post Acute is hiring a Van Driver to transport residents to medical appointments and other approved destinations. The role emphasizes safety, courtesy, and timely service in a 180-bed sub-acute/long-term care setting.

Requirements include 18+, valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and at least 1 year of patient-transport experience. Daily Pay and full-time schedule are offered, with a commitment to compassionate elder care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience transporting patients to appointments.
• Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and approved destinations in facility vehicles.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and operational vehicle per safety standards.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain timely transportation schedules and communicate delays or concerns.
• Provide courteous interactions with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.
• Ensure resident safety and well-being during all phases of transport.
