Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers is seeking a driver to transport residents using a 14-passenger van/bus, SUVs, and wheelchair vans. A valid driver’s license is required; a CDL is preferred but not required.

Safely operating vehicles and maintaining logs are essential, with duties including fueling and reporting mechanical issues. The role supports resident functions and daily activities, requiring respectful, confidential handling of resident information and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to drive the van/bus safely for residents.
• Respect residents with dignity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Drive the bus/van to functions and appointments according to facility policy.
• Maintain a current trip log and report any mechanical issues.
• Fuel vehicles after use and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
• Use communication equipment for routine and emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
