Job summary

Goodwin Living is seeking a Transportation Aide to safely move residents, guests, and team members to medical appointments and events, using a variety of vehicles. The role emphasizes courteous, timely service and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Position pays $22/hr and follows a Monday–Friday 11:00am–3:00pm schedule with occasional weekends; flexibility to work at multiple campuses is required. CPR certification and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to drive a variety of vehicles including wheelchair van, fourteen passenger bus, ten passenger shuttle bus and sedans.
• Must be willing to work at each campus as needed to support transportation requests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to read and write English proficiently.
• Valid current Driver's license required with insurable driving record.
• Previous experience in public transportation, public relations, or related field preferred.
• Must complete and pass occupational health assessments on an annual basis, as required by the physician.
• Must also maintain a current CPR license.

Responsibilities

• Transports residents to medical appointments, social events, and private trips in a safe and timely manner.
• Inspects vehicle daily for adequate fluid levels and safe operation; adds fluids and ensures maintenance performed as needed; completes inspection report.
• Reports damages, traffic violations and any other problems immediately to the Transportation Manager.
• Assists in opening doors and safely loading and unloading passengers and equipment.
• Consistently follows traffic laws and acts as a courteous driver.
• Notify Transportation Manager and HR of changes in driving record, including accidents or tickets.
