The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment, develop plans, and collaborate with the care team.

The SLP will supervise students per regulations, maintain documentation, and participate in discharge planning, with compensation between $43 and $47 per hour. This is an on-site position emphasizing best practices and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state license or license eligible.
• Demonstrates good skills in all forms of communication.

Responsabilités

• Provides Speech Therapy services to patients and initiates referrals when appropriate.
• Conduct screenings of patients to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Evaluates patients to obtain data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to patients, family, and team members.
• Establishes patient schedules in conjunction with team members.
• Develops and implements treatment plans with short and long-term goals.
• Coordinates treatment plans with patient, family and team members.
• Monitors response to intervention and adjusts treatment.
• Instructs patient and family in use of augmentative communication devices.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Develops home/community programming to maintain progress.
• Documents results and submits statistics.
• Supervises students and volunteers per state regulations.
• Pursues ongoing continuing education and professional development.
• Records treatment times and adheres to department procedures.
