Job summary

Good Samaritan in West Union, IA seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech and swallowing disorders. You will diagnose, develop individualized plans, and monitor progress while providing education and supervision as needed.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Requires state licensure; CFY/CCC preferred and BLS certification. Full-time, day shifts in a facility setting.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed as Speech-Language Pathologist in the state(s) of practice.
  • ASHA CCC status or CFY is preferred for Sanford Health facilities.
  • May require a valid driver's license.
  • BLS certification for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Administers speech and language evaluations to diagnose and plan treatments.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans based on diagnoses and monitors progress.
  • Provides speech and language services and educates patients on exercises.
  • May supervise assistants, aides, and students and provide ongoing education to peers.
