Job summary

Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Smoking Attendant to help residents safely access the designated smoking area. You will assist with transportation to the area, monitor safety, and maintain cleanliness while upholding resident dignity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with transportation to/from designated smoking area.
• Provide lighting assistance for smoking materials per policies.
• Monitor the designated smoking area for resident safety.
• Keep the smoking area clean and hazard-free.
• Follow safety procedures and demonstrate proper techniques.
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness.
• Communicate effectively with team about resident needs and emergencies.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Promote positive relationships with residents, families, visitors and coworkers.
• Use facility equipment and supplies responsibly.
• Follow all facility policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
