Job summary

Innovate Rehab and Wellness in Easton, KS is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position in a skilled nursing facility. The role involves evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders, with a focus on improving patient quality of life, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, possess a valid state license, and have strong communication and patient-care skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (accredited program).
• Valid state SLP license.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred.
• Prior speech therapy experience preferred (new grads welcome).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
• Address speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication needs.
• Help patients improve function and overall quality of life.
• Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide therapy for articulation, cognitive-communication, and swallowing.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately.
• Stay current with best practices and advances in speech-language pathology.
