Job summary

Canton Center for Nursing and Healing in Canton, GA is hiring a Speech-language Pathologist to join our compassionate care team. You will assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders to help patients regain independence.

Responsibilities include evaluations, therapy sessions, patient and family education, and documenting progress. A master's degree in SLP and knowledge of long-term care regulations are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments to diagnose and treat communication disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide speech therapy interventions, including individual and group sessions, under supervision.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient treatment and progress.
