Job summary

Canton Center for Nursing and Healing in Canton, GA is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. You will evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders, helping patients regain independence and quality of life.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and is knowledgeable about long-term care regulations. Prior experience in a nursing facility is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Knowledgeable of long-term care regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed.
• Experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments to diagnose and treat communication disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide speech therapy interventions, including individual and group sessions, under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient treatment and progress.
