Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents in Illinois. You will assist residents in and out of vehicles, ensure vehicle safety, and perform routine inspections.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Age 21+ is required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification (as required).
• Excellent communication and time-management skills; ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
