Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a Driver to transport residents to appointments, outings, and activities, ensuring safe and compassionate service. You will help residents in and out of vehicles and assist with belongings while maintaining clean, safe transportation options.

The role emphasizes punctuality, patience, and teamwork within the Life Enrichment Department to enrich residents’ daily lives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL or Chauffeurs license preferred.
• Prior experience driving large vehicles.
• Ability to drive the community bus or other vehicles per federal/state regulations.
• Experience with safely transporting seniors in wheelchairs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to residents in the community bus or other vehicles for appointments and outings.
• Inspect and maintain community vehicles to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle using wheelchair lifts or stairs.
• Assist residents with loading/unloading personal items and mobility aids.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Life Enrichment Director.
