Job summary

Zebulon House in Zebulon, NC is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents in our care. You will follow dietary plans, help with meal service, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards to ensure a positive dining experience.

We value compassion for the elderly, teamwork, and clear communication. No heavy previous experience is required, but we expect reliability and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience in a food service role preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the dietary team to keep operations running smoothly.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and preferences.
