Job summary

Goodwin Living, based in Alexandria, VA, seeks a Transportation Aide to safely transport residents, guests and team members using our transport services. The role emphasizes courteous, reliable service and adheres to safety standards.

The position pays $22/hr, with a Monday–Friday 11:00am–3:00pm schedule and occasional weekend shifts. Benefits are available for PRN and full/part-time team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to drive a variety of vehicles including wheelchair van, passenger bus, shuttle and sedans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; read and write English proficiently.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Transports residents to medical appointments, social events and private trips safely and timely.
• Inspects vehicle daily; maintains fluids and reports issues; ensures cleanliness inside and out.
• Reports damages or issues to Transportation Manager immediately.
• Assists passengers with opening doors, loading and unloading safely; follows traffic laws.
