Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living in Hayward, CA is seeking a Server for full-time or part-time roles. You must be available to work at least one weekend day. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour depending on experience.

As a server, you will take residents’ and guests’ orders, enter them into the POS, set up and break down tables, and maintain a safe, courteous dining area in line with our mission. Training is provided; health screening and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not required; will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years old with a work permit.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Good written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents and families.
• Clear criminal background and health screening tests, including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members and visitors in a professional, dignified and courteous manner.
• Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system accurately.
• Set up and break down tables.
• Follow proper serving techniques and etiquette.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents and guests.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.
