Job summary

Oaks Senior Living is seeking a kind-hearted Housekeeper/Maintenance Assistant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning common areas and resident apartments, responding to repairs, and assisting with move-ins and move-outs.

The role requires ability to read, write and speak English, a compassionate disposition toward older adults, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Desire to work with older adults; friendly, caring disposition.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Must have physical exam by a licensed physician and a negative drug screen.
• Must understand the risk of exposure to infectious waste, disease, chemicals, solutions, and disinfectants.
• Must be able to react in an emergency situation.

Responsibilities

• Clean all common areas and residents' apartments according to schedule.
• vacuuming carpeted areas; dusting furniture and fixtures; cleaning glass surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect common areas, bathrooms, and floors; mop floors.
• Respond to resident emergencies following policy and procedure.
• Assist with resident move-ins/outs and prepare rooms for new residents.
• Ensure residence and grounds are safe and well maintained.
