Job summary

Sinceri Senior Living is seeking a dedicated janitor/housekeeper to maintain clean, sanitary, safe, and attractive living areas for residents. You will follow established procedures, work under supervision, and help preserve a welcoming environment.

The role requires reading/writing, calm decision-making, and compassionate service to the elderly. Benefits include a comprehensive package, growth opportunities, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and follow verbal and written directions to perform the job.
• Ability to stay calm under stress and make decisions.
• Must communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, officials and the public.
• Must be able to work full or part time on a regular schedule.
• Must meet all state health requirements.
• Must perform duties (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning schedule and instructions as directed by supervisor.
• Sweep and vacuum all assigned areas.
• Clean and polish room furnishings, fixtures and surfaces.
• Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms and public areas.
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, disinfecting and deodorizing.
• Empty all wastebaskets.
• Submit maintenance work orders for general maintenance concerns.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Assist with laundry duties as needed.
• Provide inventory of chemicals, supplies, linens as required.
• Log water or heat temperatures as required.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings as requested.
• Keep janitor closets and housekeeping supply rooms clean and orderly.
• Other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.
• Clean exterior windows, patios, or other outside areas as assigned.
