Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living in Durham, NC is seeking a caring Care Giver to support residents with daily living activities in a home-like environment. You will provide hands-on care and emotional support, while helping maintain safety and comfort for residents across the continuum of care.

The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and dependable service. Requirements include HS diploma/GED, 18+ years old, and prior senior-care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid (CNA) certification preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, management and co-workers.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas.
• Helping residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident.
• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed.
• Engaging residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.

Education

High School diploma/GED

Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred

18 years of age minimum

Experience with seniors preferred

Communication with Residents and staff

Customer service

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Good judgment and problem solving
