Job summary

Piqua Care Center is seeking an Activities Aide to support planning, organizing, and leading recreational and therapeutic activities for residents. The role focuses on social, physical, emotional, and cognitive stimulation, in collaboration with the Activities Director.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience with the elderly is preferred but not required. The position is full-time and located in Piqua, OH, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities coordination or elderly care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning daily, weekly, and monthly activity schedules for residents' physical, mental, and social well-being.
• Lead and oversee group activities such as games, arts, crafts, music, exercise, and events.
• Engage residents individually to encourage participation and adapt activities to mobility and cognitive needs.
• Document resident attendance, preferences, and participation per facility policies.
• Set up and clean activity spaces, ensuring safety and welcoming environments.
• Support special events and coordinate with volunteers, families, and staff.
