Job summary

Westminster Assisted Living & Memory Care of Cullman is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and assist in providing nutritious, high-quality meals for residents. You will help with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining sanitary kitchen and dining areas.

Responsibilities include following dietary plans, assisting residents during meals, and supporting the dietary team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a food service role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow food safety protocols for storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies; notify Dietary Manager of shortages.
• Team Collaboration: Work with dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Resident Engagement: Assist with special dietary requests and resident preferences during meals.
