Haywood Springs is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care to residents, assist with activities of daily living, and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• State-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic caregiving techniques and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
• Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health or behavior to the nursing team.
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through companionship and engagement.
• Encourage participation in community activities and social events.
• Ensure living areas are clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow infection control protocols and health and safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies per established procedures.
