Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in senior services preferred.
• CNA or Home Health Aide certification preferred; CPR certification required upon hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living per care plan.
• Read the 24 hour log at shift start.
• Make routine rounds and check residents' care needs.
• Assist with dressing, grooming, and bathing.
• Assist with ambulation and use of walkers/canes/wheelchairs.
• Assist residents during meals and encourage participation in activities.
• Shampoo hair weekly if not done by beautician.
• Make beds daily and perform light housekeeping in apartments and common areas.
• Report changes in resident condition to Nurse, Resident Care Director or Executive Director.
• Maintain infection control practices.
