Job summary

Kalesta Healthcare Group is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Washington team. This full-time role focuses on providing respiratory care, documentation, and collaboration with nurses and physicians to optimize resident outcomes.

The RT will assess respiratory status, administer treatments, educate families, and ensure equipment functions properly while participating in care planning with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State license/certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CRT or RRT preferred).
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders, including nebulizer treatments, suctioning, oxygen administration, etc.
• Assess and monitor residents’ respiratory status, promptly reporting changes to the nursing and medical team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments, interventions, and resident response
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for residents with respiratory needs
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and equipment
• Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functionality of respiratory therapy equipment
