Job summary

ADEC, Inc. in Elkhart, IN is hiring a Route Driver for a 30-hour first shift. The role involves safe, courteous transportation to individuals served, with early morning and mid-day routes starting at Goshen/Elkhart.

You will assist with light personal care, handle occasional medical emergencies on routes, and record odometer readings daily while ensuring vehicle maintenance and safety. CDL upon hire is required with company support.

Qualifications

• CDL required upon hire; company will assist with CDL process
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Ability to lift 60 pounds including bending for wheelchair lift
• Proof of car insurance
• Pass background and negative drug test
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and courteous transportation for individuals served
• Assist with light personal care as needed
• Assist with medical emergencies on routes as needed
• Flexibility with split shift for pick up/drop off times
• Record odometer readings daily
• Maintain vehicles by fueling and reporting issues
• Report difficult behaviors on route to program manager
