Job summary

Cambridge Healthcare Services, LLC in Merced, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide routine daily nursing care to residents under federal, state, and local standards.

You will assess residents, manage care plans, administer medications, document progress, and collaborate with physicians and care teams, while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respectful communication with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to use computer or tablet to enter resident data.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and development of resident care plans
• Ensuring that all nursing care is provided in privacy
• Checking vital signs
• Dressing wounds
• Passing out medications
• Assisting with admissions
• Making rounds with physicians
• Starting IVs
• Listening to residents and their families
• Addressing questions/concerns of residents
• Performing accurate and detailed charting of resident progress notes
• Providing assistance to LVNs and CNAs
• Ensuring equipment is in good operating order
• Monitoring residents that are at risk for falls
• Collecting lab samples
• Abiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords
• Following Infection and Control policies
• Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
• Attending annual facility in-service training programs
• Completing other assignments when requested by management
