Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure; BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and provides direct and indirect patient care in the assigned setting.
• Communicates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization.
• Participates in teaching plans based on identified learning needs; involves family when appropriate.
• Assists physicians with procedures and supports services requiring technical skills.
• Addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families and coordinates with social services for post‑discharge needs.
• Demonstrates cost‑effective practices and prudent use of supplies.
• Prioritizes patient care and promotes safety by reducing harm.
• Maintains lifelong learning within the nursing profession.
