Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in our care settings. You will collaborate with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes, uphold patient autonomy and dignity, and support education and prioritization efforts.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, compassion, and lifelong learning, with duties spanning patient education, safety, and discharge planning as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure with BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient appropriately based on medical condition.
• Administers ordered medications as prescribed.
• Provides age-appropriate care including basic self-care activities.
• Formulates and evaluates a teaching plan with family involvement.
• Utilizes nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures requiring technical skills.
• Addresses psychosocial needs and coordinates discharge planning.
• Demonstrates cost-effective use of supplies and prioritizes care.
• Maintains lifelong learning in the nursing profession.
