Job summary

Five Star Nursing is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on oncology patients. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital setting and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires at least 2 years of hospital experience, a valid Compact RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience with strong clinical assessment skills.
• Valid and current Compact RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; PCCN certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adults in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on oncology patients.
• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication regimens, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards to ensure quality and compliance.
