Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a registered nurse for the Moody Outpatient Center on the 4th floor. The role supports patient-centered care within established protocols and a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates are graduates from accredited nursing programs with Texas RN licensure and BLS. One year of nursing experience is preferred; PRN day shifts are available, with opportunities to serve as Charge Nurse on rotation.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have and maintain current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or valid Compact RN license.
• Must have current healthcare provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient advocate focusing on patient needs and rights.
• Maintains relationships with Parkland staff and external customers; may participate in community outreach as assigned.
• Completes documentation and maintains patient care records per department standards.
• Provides direction to non-nursing staff and may serve as Charge Nurse on rotation.
• Precepts or trains newer nursing staff and conducts in-service educational programs.
