Responsibilities

• Admitting new residents and recording medical histories.
• Performing ongoing assessments of residents’ health.
• Explaining procedures and treatment protocols to residents.
• Planning and managing patient care according to each patient’s needs.
• Interviews patients and records medical information.
• Obtains vital signs (pulse, BP, temp, respiration).
• Provides routine nursing care and reviews medical charts.
• Assists physicians and other nurses.
• Communicates with patients and families.
• Prepares specimens for lab and administers medications
• Monitors catheters and wound care; prepares/administers injections
• Supports patient comfort and safety.
