Job summary

The Sarah Community, part of SSM Health, in Missouri, is seeking caring registered nurses to provide skilled nursing care to residents according to care plans and regulatory standards. This role emphasizes patient safety, medication administration, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The nurse will supervise CNAs, participate in care planning, and ensure communications with residents and families, while adhering to federal/state regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program and state licensing eligibility.
• No nursing experience required.
• Knowledge of nursing interventions and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality care to residents and administers medications per standards.
• Directs CNAs and coordinates unit workflow and reports changes to physicians.
• Maintains medication inventory and ensures correct distribution per the 5 rights.
• Guides and trains auxiliary staff; communicates with residents and families.
• Implements preventive care measures and responds to alarms and safety needs.
• May perform point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned.
