Job summary

MEP Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in accordance with physicians’ orders, policies, and regulations. The role includes administering medications, supervising nursing staff, and assisting physicians during rounds and examinations.

The successful candidate will maintain infection control standards, coordinate admissions, and ensure accurate records while working collaboratively with healthcare teams and families.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing with a valid North Carolina nursing license.
• Current CPR certification and renewal.
• Ability to provide compassionate, quality care and follow doctor’s orders.
• Strong supervisory skills to oversee nursing assistants.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to work collaboratively with staff, patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Decision-making skills to address nursing issues responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality nursing care by following physician’s orders, regulations, and facility policies.
• Administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, IV) as prescribed.
• Supervise and guide nursing assistants and orderlies.
• Assist physicians during rounds, physical examinations, and treatments.
• Perform scheduled treatments and maintain infection control protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to Standard/Universal Precautions.
• Support research related to nursing care quality.
• Manage records, orders, and assessments for new admissions and coordinate physicals.
