Job summary

Plaza West Healthcare & Rehab is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care to residents. Join our team of healthcare professionals and contribute to high-quality patient care.

You will work with a leadership team including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, and Director of Nursing to ensure excellent outcomes and adherence to policies. We value mentorship and professional development, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• A caring, loving personality and demeanor.
• Leadership and mentorship skills.
• The ability to work your scheduled shift.
• The ability to read, write & speak English.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents.
• Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
• Checking all residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is properly administered.
• Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about residents, staff and related matters.
• Implementing recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Administering professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressings, blood, sputum, and urine samples.
• Completing all RN-required record keeping forms/charts upon admission, discharge, or transfer.
• Giving and receiving nursing reports at shift change.
• Investigating complaints and grievances and reporting to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Presenting a professional image to residents and families.
• Adhering to policies and standards.
