UP Health System - Portage, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a General Surgery Clinic. Monday–Friday day shifts, full-time 80 hours per pay period, providing comprehensive patient care in a busy clinic setting.

The RN will perform plans of care, administer medications, document care, and coordinate with the care team to support patients and families throughout the treatment journey.

Qualificações

• Current Michigan RN license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs plan of care interventions including meds, specimens, treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition.
• Communicates with care team, physicians, and family as needed.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial needs.
• Provides patient/family education tailored to age, culture, and condition.
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
• Delegates tasks to qualified staff and ensures appropriate care delivery.
• Performs prior authorizations for tests, procedures, and meds as required by insurance.
