Job summary

Avera Gregory Hospital in South Dakota is seeking a registered nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care and support to patients and families. The RN will develop care plans, provide emotional, psychological, and physical support, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license in the state of practice, 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred, and 12-hour day/night shifts with potential weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with physicians and other care providers to coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing prescriptions and plans with the care team.
• Develops nursing care plans based on histories, exams, and risk factors.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, medications and self-care.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts care plans as conditions change.
• Maintains safe clinical environment and adheres to infection control and safety standards.
• Documents care needs and interventions in patient records.
• Keeps equipment and supplies ready and functioning; requests repairs when needed.
• Upholds leadership-based expectations for CARE values and confidentiality.
